EOI: Community Safety Forum
Help shape community safety in Glen Innes Severn
Glen Innes Severn Council is seeking passionate and community-minded representatives from across the region to help establish the Community Safety Forum.
The Forum will bring together local voices from education, business, community organisations, villages and other stakeholder groups to identify community safety priorities, share information and support a coordinated approach to local issues affecting Glen Innes and surrounding villages.
Whether you're involved in a local organisation, represent a community group, run a business, work in education or have strong connections within your community, your perspective can help shape discussions about community safety across the Glen Innes Severn Local Government Area.
The Community Safety Forum was established following a Council resolution in December 2025, with an initial expression of interest process undertaken between March and April 2026.
Following consideration of that process at its May 2026 meeting, Council resolved to seek additional stakeholder representation in accordance with the adopted Terms of Reference before confirming membership and commencing the Forum.
We're particularly seeking representatives from:
- Education sector
- Business community
- Community organisations
- Village communities
- Community members with an interest in local safety issues
The Community Safety Forum will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to:
- support early intervention and place-based community safety initiatives
- share information and identify emerging issues
- encourage collaboration between organisations and the community
- help shape practical responses to local community safety priorities.
