Rural Roadside Signs – Apply Now!
Applications have reopened for the Rural Roadside Sign project funded by the Australian Government, and Glen Innes Severn Council is inviting residents to apply by 12 December 2024. These signs are designed to be highly visible, especially at night, ensuring that emergency services, carriers, and delivery drivers can quickly and accurately locate your property.
Why Get a Rural Roadside Sign?
Enhanced Night Visibility: Signs are designed to be reflective, ensuring they are visible in low-light conditions.
Improved Safety for Emergency Services: Having a clearly visible sign helps emergency services locate you faster during critical situations.
Better Accessibility for Deliveries: Carriers and delivery drivers can find your property more easily with a rural roadside sign.
How to Apply Residents can apply for their rural roadside sign at the subsidised cost of $110 (including GST), thanks to Australian Government funding. Council staff will install the signs, with installation commencing from February 2025. Applications are open until 12 December 2024. Disclaimer: property address must be within a speed zone of 80 km/h or higher.
